The Blazing Torch — his first book on the work of the evangelist. The memoir connects its writing with his difficult first year in Vancouver. His later bibliography and the cover annotation give 1979; his personal testimony lists 1975. The catalogue uses the better-supported 1979 date while preserving that discrepancy.
《明燈發亮》——論傳道人事奉的第一本書。回憶錄把寫作連於溫哥華初年的艱辛歲月。他其後的書目與封面註記作一九七九年，個人見證則列一九七五年。本目錄採用證據較充分的一九七九年，並保留兩項記錄的差異。
The archive contains the book’s front and back covers and references to it in author biographies, but no interior manuscript has been found. The file labelled 麥序 contains front matter for The Secrets of True Words; it is not surviving text from this book.

This surviving-material edition includes all legible text from the front and back covers, the complete historical back-cover biography, and three clearly attributed excerpts from David’s later writings about the book. No interior chapters have been recovered. The source filed as 麥序 belongs to The Secrets of True Words and is not included as text of The Blazing Torch.
